About Chase Ladders

Charles started his career in the aluminium access equipment industry in 1962, working for Gravity Ladders in Pickford St. Birmingham. After being headhunted by Lyte Ladders, Charles moved his family down to Newport, South Wales to take up his new position. In 1987 Charles decided that he could do it better, left Lyte and founded Chase Ladders in a factory unit in Newport. The Company has developed its product range over the years and generally concentrates on the Industrial sector of the market.

The Company work to the highest standards and are proud to achieve and adhere to a formal Quality Management System registered to BS EN ISO 9001:2015 (BSI registration No. FM14201). The Company undertakes all of its own quality checks and audits in accordance with this standard. All of the Company’s products are manufactured from materials that exceed the performance requirements of BSEN-131 Professional and are rated at 175kg.

Charles’ son, Chris is the current managing director having joined the company in 2000 from the HVAC Industry. Chris is a qualified mechanical engineer and has grown up with ladders!
