Extending Roof Ladders

The Chase 2 part Extending Roof Ladders designed and manufactured in the UK provide the ultimate in safety on the roof. These heavy duty ladder sections are manufactured to BSEN131 standard using industrial strength aluminium, with oval section stiles and heavy-duty non-slip rungs and incorporate a heavy-duty ridge hook. To prevent any damage to the roof they have rubber covered bearers bars to distribute weight evenly. Unlike the majority of roof ladders available these ladders are built from materials that exceed the performance requirements of BSEN-131 Professional and are rated at 175kg. Folding bearers Due to continued problems with damages caused by our carriers we have changed the way the bearers are fitted to both our single section and double extending roof ladders. Each bearer has two holes at the ends that allow it to be fixed to the ladder. The fasteners used to be blind fastener ‘mono bolts’ we will now use hexagon head high tensile bolts with nyloc nuts. A single fixing will be made at each end of the bearer which will allow it to pivot and sit flat against the ladder stiles. To secure the bearer in position the customer will need to square it up and fit the additional two nuts and bolts. ROOF LADDER RIDGE HOOKS We continue to experience problems with carriers when we send out ridge hooks fully assembled. We have therefore decided to supply these flat packed with comprehensive fitting & assembly instructions. This will ensure that losses and damage whilst in transit are greatly reduced.
