Product Description

Chase Single-Section Roof Ladder is designed and manufactured in the UK to deliver maximum safety when working on roofs.

These heavy-duty roof ladder sections are built to BS EN 131 standards using industrial-strength aluminium, with oval-section stiles, heavy-duty non-slip rungs, and an integrated heavy-duty ridge hook.

To help prevent roof damage, each ladder includes rubber-covered bearer bars to distribute weight evenly.

Updated Bearer Design (Transit Damage Reduction)

Due to continued damage issues caused by carriers, we have changed how bearers are fitted on both single-section and double-extending roof ladders.

  • Each bearer has two holes at each end for fixing to the ladder
  • Previous blind fasteners (“mono bolts”) have been replaced
  • Now supplied with hex-head high-tensile bolts and Nyloc nuts
  • One fixing is made at each end to allow the bearer to pivot and sit flat against the stiles
  • Customer then squares the bearer and installs the additional two nuts and bolts to secure final position

Roof Ladder Ridge Hooks

We have also seen repeated carrier issues when ridge hooks are shipped fully assembled.

  • Ridge hooks are now supplied flat-packed
  • Comprehensive fitting and assembly instructions are included
  • This significantly reduces loss and transit damage

We have already used this approach for selected customers and are now moving fully to this method.
